EVERGREEN LATERALS

Attorney Placement Boutique

THE CLIENT

Evergreen Laterals is a legal recruiting firm that works exclusively in the lateral associate attorney market.

THE GOAL

This was a startup business. The client needed guidance on web hosting and the best way to incorporate a job board where she could easily post job openings that were sortable by geographic region and type of law. She wanted to be able to receive resumes and gather information about clients so she could create job alerts for them when jobs that matched their specific criteria came available. She wanted a clean, modern design that differentiated her from other legal recruiting firms.

THE PROCESS

I created a modern, uncluttered Visual Design that was representative of her unique, boutique-style placement firm. I designed her logo and a custom WordPress theme that allowed her to post jobs and make updates herself. I incorporated several different forms that allow her clients to sign up for emails, submit resumes and links to LinkedIn accounts, and contact a recruiter. The fully responsive website was launched in September of 2016 and took approximately eight weeks.

TESTIMONIAL
Julie was able to turn a disaster in progress (from another website developer) into a clean and sophisticated website within weeks. Not only was she spot-on in understanding what I wanted, she also provided much needed guidance on what I did and did not need – invaluable information for those of us who understand very little about websites and the internet. Even after my site went live, Julie showed exceptional patience as I stumbled through learning how to be a capable site administrator and how to manage my email and website hosts. All in all, it was an extremely positive experience with a knowledgeable, patient and personable professional. - Stephanie Dow, Esq., Principal

NORTH FORTY TWO

Trusted Fiduciary

THE CLIENT

North Forty Two is a fee-only investment advisory boutique that serves as a trusted fiduciary to a select group of high net-worth households.

THE GOAL

Although they have been in business for 20 years, the client had recently undergone a rebranding which included a name and leadership change. They wanted a completely new website design that was modern and different, that emphasized their core values, and didn’t evoke the feelings of a traditional financial planning firm.

THE PROCESS

I created a Visual Design that incorporated a modern typeface, imagery, and a black and white color scheme with pops of blue. I designed their new logo and a custom WordPress theme that allowed them to communicate what was on their minds via a blog and make updates themselves. The fully responsive website was launched in July of 2016 and took approximately eight weeks.

TESTIMONIAL
What struck me about working with Julie was how effectively she translated our unrefined vision into an extraordinary piece of functional art. Given our industry, it was important for us to strike the right balance and project a refreshing, modern, authentic approach to the stoic stewardship of client assets. We could not be more pleased with the outcome of our collaboration, and I unconditionally and enthusiastically recommend Julie for anyone looking to improve their online presence. - Whitney Dow, President

COLLEGE BOUND CONSULTING GROUP

Jill O'Keefe - Owner

THE CLIENT

College Bound Consulting Group is a full service college consulting business for high school students, student athletes, and students with special needs.

THE GOAL

CBCG was transitioning from a partnership to a sole proprietorship and had a website that was very outdated. The client wanted a more modern and professional design that accurately conveyed who she was, her qualifications, and the types of services she provided. She wanted to expand her business by more than just word of mouth and wanted to appear in an internet search of college consultants in her area. She also wanted a way for her clients to login to a college planning program from her website.

THE PROCESS

I focused on creating a brand around Jill O’Keefe, the owner. I designed a professional looking website using sound SEO principles so that her business would appear on page one of a Google Search for College Consultants in her area. A custom WordPress theme enabled her to post articles and update the site herself. The fully responsive website was launched in December of 2015 and took approximately 11 weeks.

TESTIMONIAL
As someone who is fairly tech challenged I was leary of working on my small business website but it needed to be overhauled. Julie Anderson was the perfect solution to my problem. She spent time talking with me to understand not only what I was looking for but also what my business is about. The information requests she made of me were easy to understand and follow through with, and I felt like it was a totally collaborative experience. I couldn’t be happier with the process and the result. My new website is incredible! It is easy to use, finding information is intuitive and the images are perfect. I encourage anyone needing help with website design to contact Julie! - Jill O'Keefe

KRISTA ANDERSON ROSS, ND

Naturopathic Doctor

THE CLIENT

Dr. Krista Anderson Ross is a Naturopathic Doctor who specializes in helping women of all ages achieve hormonal balance.

THE GOAL

The client was transitioning her practice from general naturopathy to one that was focused on women and hormones. Her existing website was outdated in style and content and was no longer used by her patients and followers. She wanted a modern, colorful, and inspirational website where her patients could make appointments, download forms, listen to her podcasts, and find out about her speaking engagements.

THE PROCESS

I focused on creating the Dr. Krista ND brand. I created a Visual Design and a logo that was nature inspired. The patient page contained all relevant forms and appointment information. The media page highlighted her speaking topics, engagements, and podcasts. Finally, her social media posts were incorporated in the site. The fully responsive website was launched in December of 2014 and took approximately 11 weeks.

TESTIMONIAL
Julie is a great listener and also very intuitive when it comes to helping you identify what you’re looking for in a website. I had a vague idea of what I wanted and with her help we were able to narrow it down very quickly. My website is beautiful, simple and user-friendly. I highly recommend Julie Anderson to anyone looking for a new website. - Krista Anderson Ross

Dr. Krista's website is currently undergoing another transition. She has closed her brick and mortar practice and is transitioning to online health consultations. Her website will include a blog and her most recommended products and supplements available for sale.

STONE HOUSE RESTAURANT

Redmond, Washington

THE CLIENT

The Stone House is a restaurant located in a turn of the century bungalow that serves creative twists on American food using fresh local ingredients.

THE GOAL

The client wanted a logo design that he could use on signage in front of his restaurant. The historic bungalow in Downtown Redmond had always been somewhat hidden from the street by mature trees and had been used for several different businesses over the years. A local road construction project removed the trees, exposing the restaurant to the street for the first time. The client wanted people who were walking or driving by to know exactly what was inside – a successful, modern, upscale restaurant. The client wanted his logo to reflect the old world feel of his location, his modern cuisine, and his use of fresh, local ingredients.

THE PROCESS

The logo I designed combined traditional and modern typefaces and incorporated the use of an image of asparagus which elicits a feeling of freshness. I also included the year it was established so that people unfamiliar with the restaurant would know that it had been around for awhile and was here to stay. The logo was incorporated in a business card design as well.
